The headquarters of the National Unified Registry (RUN) in Asunción was evacuated on Monday morning after receiving an anonymous phone call with a bomb threat.
According to Lourdes González, senior manager of the RUN, a male voice warned about the detonation of an explosive device at the institution's facilities, located at the intersection of Eusebio Ayala Avenue and Capitán Román García Street at km 5.
Freide Amarilla, Security Director of the Supreme Court of Justice, confirmed that security protocols were activated immediately, prioritizing the safety of employees and citizens present at the location.
Personnel from the Special Operations Force (FOPE) and the National Police's Anti-Kidnapping Department were dispatched to the scene to verify the existence of any suspicious device.
Public services at the RUN's central headquarters remain temporarily suspended until security conditions are guaranteed. An investigation is underway to identify the origin of the threatening call.
