The border crossing between the Paraguayan city of Ayolas and the Argentine city of Ituzaingó will be temporarily closed for maintenance work at the Yacyretá Hydroelectric Plant.
The Yacyretá Binational Entity (EBY) said in a statement that the closure of traffic at the international crossing on the dam's crest is necessary to carry out critical maintenance services at the plant.
EBY asked users and transporters to take the necessary precautions and plan their trips outside the affected times to avoid delays. Those needing to cross the border between the departments of Misiones (Paraguay) and Corrientes (Argentina) should follow updates from local authorities before traveling.
