TSJE publishes income and expense declarations of all municipal candidates

Paraguay's Superior Tribunal of Electoral Justice (TSJE) published on Thursday the campaign income and expense declarations of all mayoral and councilor candidates from the country's 263 districts. The measure follows the electoral schedule for the October 4 municipal elections.

Christian Ruíz Díaz, director of Political Financing at the TSJE, confirmed that the information is available for public consultation through the National System of Political Financing (SINAFIP) on the National Observatory of Political Financing (ONAFIP). He emphasized that any citizen can access the system, select the political organization and candidate, and view or download the corresponding sworn declaration.

In addition to the campaign declarations, the TSJE will also publish on Friday the final reports submitted by the electoral tribunals of political organizations, resulting from the simultaneous internal elections held previously. All information will remain available on the ONAFIP portal.

The publication of declarations is a requirement of the Political Financing Law and aims to ensure transparency about the origin and use of resources during municipal election campaigns.
