In Villeta, a traffic accident on the PY 19 highway, which connects the city to Alberdi, left an elderly woman dead on Monday night. According to the truck driver, the motorcycle rider was traveling on the shoulder and tried to enter the lane to access a residence. Upon hearing the truck's horn, she became startled and fell. The vehicle could not brake in time and ran over the passenger, Deolinda Torres de Dick, 67, who died due to severe traumatic brain injury. Victims receive text messages with a link to the fraudulent site 'paraguaybonomujer.org', which requests personal and financial data. MITIC emphasizes that official Paraguayan government websites always end in '.gov.py' and that no social program requires sharing the link on WhatsApp or bank account information.
