Vori vori again ranked first in Taste Atlas’s list of the 50 best soups in the world, updated on September 15, 2026. The Paraguayan dish received a score of 4.7 and has topped the ranking for the fourth consecutive year, following the 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026 results.
The list also includes Japanese ramen, Thai tom kha gai, Mexican pozole and Indonesian soto betawi. The score corresponds to the evaluation published by the food platform.
The dish is made with small balls of cornmeal and fresh cheese, cooked in a broth that generally contains meat, especially chicken or hen. The description published in the reports also mentions that vegetables may be added.
Vori vori had already received another distinction from Taste Atlas in 2026, when it ranked first in a list of the 100 best dishes in the world. In that result, Neapolitan pizza ranked second, followed by tajarin al tartufo bianco d’Alba.
Paraguayan reports describe the new result as another instance of international exposure for a traditional dish from the country.
