Paraguay's Directorate of Meteorology and Hydrology warns of a new decline in temperatures this weekend, after a brief period of heat that followed days of intense cold across the country. Although the lows forecast for Sunday and Monday are not as low as the 3°C recorded last week in some regions, the drop will be significant, especially on Monday.
In Asunción, the forecast high for Sunday is 20°C, with a low of 15°C. In Ciudad del Este, temperatures are expected to range between 16°C and 20°C, while in Encarnación the high will be 19°C and the low 14°C. The most intense cooling will occur on Monday, when the Paraguayan capital will have a low of 11°C and a high of 18°C. In departments such as Ñeembucú and Paraguarí, lows could reach 10°C, and highs across the entire national territory should not exceed 20°C.
The weather bulletin indicates that temperatures near 10°C should persist for most of the week, maintaining cold weather throughout Paraguay.
