Air traffic in Paraguay recorded a 13% growth in the first half of 2026, with a total of 715,372 passengers transported between January and June, according to data from the Dirección Nacional de Aeronáutica Civil (Dinac), the country's civil aviation authority. This number represents an increase of more than 83,000 passengers compared to the 631,814 recorded in the same period of 2025.
The performance in the first four months had already indicated strong expansion, with an accumulated growth of 17% between January and April, when 495,993 travelers were registered. This result exceeded the previous year's numbers by 71,238 passengers, which were 424,755.
January was the month with the highest growth in the semester, with a 19% increase in traffic, rising from 111,460 passengers in 2025 to 132,398 in 2026. February and March also showed significant increases of 17% each, while April grew by 14%, May by 10%, and June had a more moderate increase of 2%, with 102,608 passengers.
Dinac highlighted that the sustained growth trend in air traffic strengthens the outlook for the sector and contributes to the reinforcement of air connectivity, tourism, and the country's economic development. In 2025, the total passenger volume had already surpassed pre-pandemic levels, reaching 1,327,387 travelers.
