Paraguay and Taiwan plan a binational AI data center of up to 1,000 MW in Chaco’i

Paraguay and Taiwan are planning a binational artificial intelligence data center in Chaco’i, based on a model similar to Itaipu and presented by the Paraguayan government as intended to become the world’s largest AI center. The project’s final capacity is planned at up to 1,000 MW, with an estimated initial investment of US$200 million to US$300 million.

Petropar tenders US$24.3 million in fuel and plans five aeroplants with Royal Energy

Petropar has opened an international tender worth up to US$24.3 million, to be paid with public funds and used exclusively to purchase up to 20,000 cubic meters of aviation fuel, while planning five aeroplants with Paraguayan company Royal Energy, an aviation-sector distributor since 2017 whose selection resulted from a process whose publication by the National Directorate of Public Procurement (DNCP) has yet to be clarified.
