A delegation of business leaders from the Brazilian states of Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul is in Asunción on a market prospecting mission to analyze investment opportunities in Paraguay. The visit was promoted by the Paraguay-Brazil Chamber of Commerce (CCPB).
The group, composed of representatives from sectors such as food and beverages, industry, technology, construction, services, and real estate, was received by the Union of Paraguayan Industrialists (UIP). Representing the UIP were its president, Enrique Duarte; the vice president of International Relations, Carlos Insfrán; and Francisco Viveros, a member of the Executive Board.
The Brazilian business leaders showed particular interest in understanding Paraguay's tax framework and the conditions for setting up productive operations in the country. Evandro Luiz Schneider, owner of Indústria Espírito Santo from Santa Catarina, stated that the mission's goal is to analyze the local market and assess concrete investment opportunities.
The visit takes place at a time when Paraguay has been strengthening its regional position, attracting investment due to its macroeconomic stability, investment-grade rating, competitive electricity costs, favorable tax regime, and strategic location for serving Mercosur markets.
Beyond the institutional exchange, the mission aims to identify opportunities for cooperation between Paraguayan and Brazilian companies, foster strategic alliances, and generate new business that contributes to the expansion of economic activity and job creation.
