Twelve Peruvian companies are arriving in Asunción for the second Peru-Paraguay trade mission, which takes place on Wednesday, May 20, and Thursday, May 21. The goal is to expand business opportunities and strengthen economic ties between the two countries, focusing on business rounds and direct commercial meetings among entrepreneurs.
Carlos Arévalo, counselor at the Embassy of Peru in Paraguay, emphasized that the initiative seeks to build lasting relationships. “This trade mission is a unique opportunity for Paraguayan entrepreneurs to get to know the diversity and quality of the Peruvian offering up close. We want to build lasting relationships, foster trust, and open new investment and cooperation opportunities,” he said.
The companies will present a wide range of products. In the food sector, items such as gelatins, traditional and spiced chocolates, snacks, quinoa cookies, granolas, energy bars, and instant beverages are scheduled. Redondos, a Peruvian turkey producer with international standards and a presence in Colombia and Ecuador, is also part of the mission.
In the consumer goods and home segment, the offering includes toilet paper, utilitarian and decorative tableware made of 925‑silver and silver‑plated pieces, as well as textile items such as cotton T‑shirts and knit fabrics, recognized for their softness and durability.
The mission is organized by the Embassy of Peru in Paraguay, in coordination with the Peruvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Association of Exporters of Peru (ADEX), as part of a strategy to expand bilateral trade.
