Paraguayan driver Joshua Duerksen finished in seventh place in the Sprint race of the ninth round of the 2026 FIA Formula 2 season, held at the Hungaroring circuit in Mogyoród, Hungary. With this result, Duerksen, who competes for the Invicta Racing team, added two points to his championship tally.
In Friday's qualifying session, Duerksen set a time of 1:29.106, securing fourth place on the grid for Sunday's Feature Race. For Saturday's Sprint, he started from seventh position due to the reverse grid system applied to the top ten qualifiers.
The race was won by Italy's Gabriele Minì of MP Motorsport, following an incident on lap 21 between Colombian driver Sebastián Montoya (Prema Racing) and Bulgarian Nikola Tsolov (Campos Racing), who had been leading the race. Sweden's Dino Beganovic finished second, and Dutch driver Laurens Van Hoepen completed the podium in third.
Brazilian driver Rafael Câmara, Duerksen's teammate at Invicta Racing, finished in fourth place. The Paraguayan driver inherited seventh position after a penalty was applied to Mexico's Noel León, who had originally crossed the finish line in that position.
