The Institute of Rural Development and Land (Indert) has formalized the transfer of a three-hectare plot to the Ñeembucú Governorship, aiming to build a modern recreational complex in the city of Pilar, the department’s capital. The project involves an investment of five million dollars and seeks to provide a leisure space for the local population.
The signing of the document took place at the office of the Vice Presidency of the Republic, with the presence of Vice President Pedro Alliana, a native of Pilar and a future presidential candidate for the Honor Colorado party in 2028. Indert’s head, Francisco Ruiz Díaz, and Ñeembucú Governor Víctor Hugo Fornerón also attended the ceremony.
Francisco Ruiz Díaz emphasized that the transferred property is located in a densely populated area and could no longer be allocated for agrarian reform. He highlighted that the initiative will have a positive impact on the department’s urban development, especially in Pilar, which currently lacks public spaces for leisure and recreation.
Pedro Alliana, who took office as vice president in August 2023, has previously served as governor of Ñeembucú and as a congressman. His wife, Fabiana Souto, is also a congresswoman for the same party. The land transfer and the development of the complex reflect a joint effort to promote regional development and improve the quality of life for Pilar’s residents.
