Cold weekend with chance of rain across Paraguay, meteorology office forecasts

The Directorate of Meteorology and Hydrology (DMH) forecasts that cold weather will persist across Paraguay through the weekend, with an increasing chance of rain starting Friday. Lows are expected to range from 6°C to 14°C, and highs from 15°C to 21°C, depending on the region.

Thursday dawned cold across Paraguay, with lows ranging from 6°C to 14°C, according to the Directorate of Meteorology and Hydrology (DMH). Skies remain partly to mostly cloudy, with prevailing southeasterly winds. In the Eastern Region, the forecast high is between 18°C and 20°C; in the Chaco (Western Region), between 16°C and 19°C.

For Friday, the DMH indicates that the cold will continue, especially in the center and south of the Eastern Region, with lows between 9°C and 14°C and highs between 15°C and 20°C. The chance of rain increases, concentrating in the north and east of the Eastern Region.

The weekend is expected to remain cold nationwide, with southeasterly winds. Morning lows will range from 6°C to 13°C, and highs from 18°C to 21°C. On Monday, the forecast points to rain for the Asunción area and its metropolitan region.
