The Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security (MTESS), through the Directorate General of Employment, and the River and Maritime Shipowners’ Center (CAFYM) launched the first large-scale job call exclusively for the shipbuilding sector. The initiative, which responds to sustained growth in river and maritime activity in the country, offers 87 vacancies across ten companies in the industry.
The talent recruitment and in-person interview day takes place this Thursday, May 21, starting at 8 a.m., at the Directorate General of Employment headquarters, located on Avenida Perú, near the corner of Río de Janeiro Street, in Asunción.
The opportunities cover around 20 different occupational profiles, from onboard operational roles to onshore administrative and technical positions. The most sought-after posts include sailors, galley staff, pilots, chief engineers, operations assistants, and technology analysts.
The salaries on offer range between the current legal minimum wage and 6 million guaraníes, depending on the profile and the responsibilities of the role.
During the event, candidates will be able to speak directly with human resources representatives from the participating companies. Special participation by students from the National Service for Professional Promotion (SNPP) is also planned; they will be assessed for possible immediate placement.
