Paraguay will host the 71st Meeting of the UN Tourism Regional Commission for the Americas (CAM), scheduled for May 28 and 29 at the Conmebol Convention Center in Asunción. The meeting, organized in partnership by UN Tourism and the National Tourism Secretariat (Senatur), aims to consolidate the country as a reference and leader in regional tourism.

The event will include the participation of 26 international delegations, as well as ministers, high-level tourism authorities, and representatives of international organizations and the private sector. UN Tourism Secretary-General Shaikha Al Nowais is also confirmed. Local organization is led by Tourism Minister Jacinto Santa María and the Senatur technical team.

The CAM is one of the most relevant bodies of UN Tourism, bringing together decision-makers from the Americas to discuss policies, partnerships, and joint initiatives. According to organizers, this year's edition represents a strategic opportunity to increase Paraguay's international visibility and affirm its capacity to host major events.

In parallel, the workshops “Future in Feminine: Building the Tourism of Tomorrow” will be held, aimed at training women entrepreneurs in the tourism sector in the Americas.
