Residents of Mariano Roque Alonso denounce noise pollution at home of Brazilian students

Residents of the San Blas neighborhood in Mariano Roque Alonso, Central Department, denounce constant noise pollution at a house reportedly occupied by Brazilian medical students. Despite complaints and calls to the police, the situation persists.

Residents of the San Blas neighborhood in Mariano Roque Alonso, Central Department, recorded a video to denounce frequent noise pollution at a house they say is occupied by Brazilian medical students. Loud music is constant at any time of day, and neighbors say the situation has become unbearable.

“Every day we have this problem and we are tired. We approach to ask them to turn down the volume and they ignore us; we also call 911 and go to the police station,” a resident told a television channel. She added that the students “spend their time partying and causing trouble.” “I have lived in the neighborhood for six months, but this has been going on much longer,” she said.

Another neighbor said that on numerous occasions they have asked them to lower the sound, but were not heeded. “They play music at any hour. It is desperate,” she lamented.

The complaint has been taken to local police authorities, but so far there has been no favorable response.
