The National Police of Paraguay has inaugurated a new agency of the Identification Department at the Government Offices of the Asunción Port. The goal is to decentralize services, facilitating access for residents and workers in the microcenter and nearby areas of the capital.
At this location, citizens can apply for their first or a renewed national identity card, as well as other documents issued by the institution. Service is available Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., and the agency is equipped with technology for biometric data collection, photography, and digital signature, allowing procedures to be completed without needing to travel to the central headquarters on Avenida Boggiani.
To renew the document, it is necessary to present the expired identity card or, in case of loss or theft, a police report. The opening of this new point aims to relieve the high demand at the main headquarters and bring public service closer to the thousands of people who circulate daily through the central region.
