Bella Vista Hosts Second Colonias Unidas Tourism Congress Focused on Digital and Experiential Tourism

The city of Bella Vista, in the Itapúa Department, will host the Second Colonias Unidas Tourism Congress on June 10 and 11, with the theme 'Digital tourism vs. experiential tourism.' The event, organized by the Mate Róga Association, aims to position the region as a comprehensive tourist destination, combining technology, culture, and authentic experiences.

Bella Vista, known as the National Capital of Yerba Mate and the heart of the Yerba Mate Route (Ka'a Rape), will host the Second Colonias Unidas Tourism Congress on June 10 and 11. This year's event proposes an innovative approach under the theme 'Digital tourism vs. experiential tourism,' promoting debates on how technology can inspire connections while in-person experiences generate lasting emotional bonds.

Lourdes Müller, a member of the Mate Róga Tourism Promotion Association, highlighted that the congress represents an opportunity to consolidate the Colonias Unidas as a comprehensive destination that combines digital innovation, cultural identity, and authentic experiences. 'The congress not only proposes training spaces but also experiences. It is two days that include meals and tourist tours, allowing participants to get to know the cultural, productive, and tourist wealth of the region up close,' Müller explained.

The program includes city tours of Obligado and Hohenau, visits to Manantial Park, Michi No Eki Bus Station, the Port of Bella Vista, as well as experiences at Mate Bar, Mate Róga, and the Casa Raatz Museum. These activities aim to connect visitors to the local surroundings, traditions, and people.

The event, organized by the Mate Róga Association in partnership with tourism stakeholders from the Colonias Unidas, is aimed at businesspeople, entrepreneurs, students, teachers, and professionals interested in understanding new tourism trends. Topics covered include smart tourist destinations, digital strategies, sporting events, and the impact of tourism on local development, with participation from national and international experts.

Bella Vista and the Colonias Unidas thus consolidate their position as a growing tourism hub, recognized not only for their cultural identity but also for their international projection. The region is also known as the home of the Paraguay Rally, considered one of the best in the world, which reinforces its potential as a destination for major events.

The Second Colonias Unidas Tourism Congress presents itself as a platform to generate new opportunities, attract investment, and strengthen tourism as a driver of development in Paraguay. Those interested in participating can obtain more information by calling +595 985 644803.
