Second Congress of Tourism of the United Colonies debates digitalization and authentic experiences in Bella Vista

On June 10 and 11, Bella Vista (Itapúa) hosts the Second Congress of Tourism of the United Colonies, promoted by the Mate Roga Tourism Development Association. The event combines lectures, city tours, and visits to local attractions, focusing on the integration of digital and experiential tourism.

Bella Vista, in the department of Itapúa, will host the Second Congress of Tourism of the United Colonies on June 10 and 11. Organized by the Mate Roga Tourism Development Association in partnership with regional tourism agents, the meeting proposes a debate between digital tourism and experiential tourism, combining conferences with immersive experiences in the territory.

Lourdes Müller, a member of the organization, explained that the congress is not limited to theoretical training: “The congress not only proposes training spaces, but also experiences. It is two days that include meals and tourist tours, allowing participants to get to know the cultural, productive, and tourist wealth of the region up close.”

The program includes city tours of Obligado and Hohenau, as well as visits to Manantial Park, Michi No Eki Road Station, the Port of Bella Vista, Mate Bar, Mate Roga, and the Casa Raatz Museum. The organizers highlight that these activities seek to connect visitors with local traditions, culture, and production, promoting a tourism model centered on human interaction and knowledge of the territory.

The event is aimed at businesspeople, entrepreneurs, students, teachers, and tourism professionals interested in trends such as smart destinations, digital strategies, and sustainable tourism. Müller stressed that one of the main current challenges is understanding how digital tourism can inspire and connect, while experiential tourism generates emotional bonds and lasting memories.

The congress will feature national and international speakers who will address tourism innovation, sporting events, and the impact of tourism on the economic and social development of communities. The region, known as the home of the Rally of Paraguay, one of the main automotive events in South America, seeks to consolidate itself as a growing tourist hub, with cultural identity and international projection.
