The National Directorate of Migrations of Paraguay announced that new fees for migration procedures and fines applied to foreigners came into effect on Wednesday, July 1. The 5% adjustment in fees follows the Executive Branch decree that increased the country’s legal minimum wage to G. 3,044,000.

According to DNM Resolution No. 478/2026, the adjustment applies to all services provided by the institution, both in-person and digital. These include residency applications, renewal and replacement of ID cards, issuance of certificates, and fines for migration violations.

Payments can be made in cash (only in guaranis) or with local and international credit and debit cards through Bancard terminals. The institution warns that electronic transactions and online procedures are subject to additional fees charged by the service provider.

The DNM has made updated tables with the new fees available on its official website and recommends that foreigners check the current fees before starting any procedure to avoid issues.
