Club Guaraní has issued a statement questioning the delay in the eviction of the company YEM S.A., which operates the Guaraní Bingo on its property. The sports institution states that, despite having obtained a favorable court decision in two instances, the company, linked to congressman Yamil Esgaib, continues to occupy the property without paying rent.
The club considers it "unacceptable" that, with a court decision in its favor, the location remains occupied and commercially exploited by the defendant company. The statement emphasizes that private property must be respected and court resolutions must be complied with, especially when it involves a legislator, whose position requires setting an example by abiding by the law.
According to Guaraní, an Appeals Court has already confirmed the first-instance ruling ordering the eviction. However, YEM S.A. is said to have filed new procedural motions, which the club has classified as delaying tactics. The institution now awaits the Supreme Court of Justice to quickly rule on these appeals so that the eviction order can finally be enforced and the property returned to its legitimate owner.
