Paraguayan tennis player Adolfo Daniel Vallejo, known as Dani Vallejo, has secured a direct spot in the main draw of Wimbledon 2026, the third Grand Slam of the season. The official list of 108 eligible players for the tournament at the All England Club in London was released by the organization, and the Asunción native appears in 69th place, confirming that his current ranking — 70th in the ATP — spares him from the qualifying rounds.
Vallejo is experiencing the best moment of his career. Before stepping onto the British grass, he will compete in the Roland Garros qualifying rounds in Paris, which begin on May 24. The Paraguayan awaits the definition of his opponent in the first round of the clay-court tournament.
Wimbledon will be held from June 29 to July 12, 2026, coinciding with the football World Cup calendar. The edition has already seen a significant withdrawal: Spanish player Carlos Alcaraz, former world number 1, will not participate due to a wrist injury.
