Three drones were detected flying over the vicinity of the Minga Guazú Social Reintegration Center in the Alto Paraná department on Wednesday night. The incident occurred around 7:00 PM, when the devices were sighted at approximately 150 meters in altitude, near the southeastern sector of the prison, known as Post No. 3.

According to the police report, the unmanned aerial vehicles remained in the area for about two minutes without entering the penitentiary's perimeter. After this period, two drones moved away towards the south, and the third headed southeast.

Immediately after the sighting, officers from the 8th Precinct of Minga Guazú initiated preventive patrols around the prison complex. The action aimed to reinforce security and attempt to identify the origin of the equipment, seeking to prevent criminal activity.

The Minga Guazú Social Reintegration Center has a history of security incidents, including a mass escape the previous year and, according to the Ministry of Justice, a new attempted escape that was thwarted just one week ago.
