The Paraguarí Palace of Justice inaugurated on Tuesday the children's space “Hugs That Accompany,” strategically located next to the Childhood and Adolescence Court. The initiative aims to offer a safe, welcoming, and playful environment for children who accompany their parents or guardians during hearings, proceedings, and judicial processes.
Judge Rosalinda Guens, president of the Administrative Council of the Paraguarí Judicial District, explained that the space was designed to provide children with a place for emotional containment, tranquility, and entertainment while adults participate in procedures related to their rights. “Behind every process there are human stories and, especially, children who deserve to feel seen, protected, and accompanied,” Guens highlighted.
The project, which includes recreational games and playful materials, was made possible thanks to the collaboration of staff, collaborators, and donors. The magistrate emphasized that the opening of the space reaffirms the institutional commitment of the Judicial Branch to the comprehensive well-being of children and adolescents, promoting a closer, more sensitive, and humane justice system.
