Itapúa Government Inaugurates Community Hall on Yacyretá Island, Boosts Social Development

The Departmental Government of Itapúa delivered a modern community hall on Yacyretá Island, in the district of San Cosme and San Damián, with an investment of G. 323,107,552. The project aims to strengthen social integration and generate new opportunities for the local community.

The Departmental Government of Itapúa inaugurated a modern Municipal Community Hall on Yacyretá Island, in the district of San Cosme and San Damián, in a project considered key to strengthening the social and community integration of the region's inhabitants.

With an investment of G. 323,107,552, the new infrastructure was officially handed over by the administration led by Governor Javier Pereira, who highlighted the importance of continuing to promote spaces for gathering, training, and collective growth for the communities of Itapúa.

“This project represents much more than a building; it is a space designed to unite families, promote community activities, and offer new development opportunities for all residents of Yacyretá Island,” the governor said during the inauguration ceremony.

The new community hall features a large multipurpose space, equipped kitchen, restrooms, covered gallery, external lighting, and various amenities that ensure comfort and safety for meetings, training sessions, celebrations, and other social activities.

The inauguration was also attended by the mayor of San Cosme and San Damián, Juan Manuel Santacruz, departmental and municipal councilors, local authorities, community representatives, and residents of the region, who celebrated the completion of a project considered to have great social impact for the district.

From the Governor's Office, they reported that this type of investment seeks to leave a positive legacy for future generations, strengthening coexistence and promoting human development in the various communities of the department.
