The Paraguayan-German Cultural Institute (ICPA) in Asunción kicks off the reading club 'Voces Femeninas' on Monday, 18 May, at 6 p.m. The free, public initiative proposes reading contemporary works by Paraguayan and German women authors, fostering cultural exchange between the two countries.

Paraguayan writer Estela Asilvera is in charge of coordination. Meetings will take place every two weeks, always on Mondays from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the ICPA headquarters, located at Juan de Salazar 310, corner of Artigas.

The club will cover texts by six writers: Luz Saldívar, Liz Haedo and Norma Flores Allende from Paraguay, and Juli Zeh, Jenny Erpenbeck and Sibylle Berg from Germany. Sessions dedicated to the Paraguayan authors will feature the writers themselves. All readings and discussions will be conducted in Spanish.

The aim is to offer a space for discovering women's literary productions that often receive less publicity, broadening access to these contemporary voices.
