Expo Madera 2026 Aims to Consolidate Paraguay as Regional Forestry Hub

The fair, organized by Fepama and the Center for Business Cooperation and Industrial Development, will take place from September 10 to 12 in Asunción, highlighting 380,000 hectares of plantations and record exports of US$100 million.

The Paraguayan Federation of Timber Producers (Fepama) and the Center for Business Cooperation and Industrial Development are preparing Expo Madera 2026, an event intended to showcase the potential of Paraguay's forestry industry and attract new investments. The fair will be held from September 10 to 12 at the Paraguayan Olympic Committee in Asunción, under the motto "Forests in expansion, industries with value."

Paraguay's forestry sector is experiencing a period of growth. Fepama data indicate that the country has more than 380,000 hectares of forest plantations dedicated to industrial production. Last year, exports from the segment reached US$100 million for the first time, according to information from the Central Bank of Paraguay.

The organizers emphasize that forest plantations serve as a renewable source of raw materials and contribute to efficient land use and climate change mitigation. Expo Madera seeks to integrate production, logistics, innovation, and industry across the entire value chain, reinforcing Paraguay's position as an emerging market in the region.
