The National Police recovered two Toyota Hilux trucks that had been stolen in the Alto Paraná region. The first vehicle, a white Hilux with license plate BKG 609, belonging to 78-year-old Niséforo Martínez, was located after a chase at Km 26, Acaray side, on Route PY02 in Minga Guazú. Officers from Subcomisaría No. 52 of Fracción Piro’y were alerted to the vehicle's movement, which had been stolen hours earlier in Juan León Mallorquín, and set up a containment operation. The truck was found abandoned in a soybean field.
On the same day, agents from the Alto Paraná Investigations Department recovered another white 2018 Toyota Hilux, license plate WHCT 303, which had been stolen early Tuesday morning in Ciudad del Este. The vehicle was located in a wooded area near the Paraná River thanks to a drone flyover. Two suspects were detained: César Gabriel Ayala Espínola, 44, and Rodrigo Sebastián López López, 23. With them, police seized a white Kia Soluto car that had allegedly been used in the crime.
