Paraguay reached its production ceiling in soybeans, with official projections pointing to a record harvest of 12.29 million tons. The Eastern Region was the main protagonist of this result, concentrating 97% of the country's total production. This volume ensures not only domestic supply and industrial processing but also boosts foreign trade, with physical exports of the grain expected to reach around 8 million tons, injecting significant foreign exchange into the national economy.
Argentina, in turn, experienced a historic recovery after unfavorable weather cycles in previous years. The country registered a 21.25% growth in production of its six main crops, totaling 163.2 million tons. Highlights include exceptional yields of wheat and sunflower, which broke individual records with 27.9 and 7.4 million tons, respectively. Corn reached 70 million tons, the highest figure in two decades, while soybeans contributed 49.9 million tons.
Brazil also broke barriers, reaffirming its global leadership in grain production with an unprecedented total projection of 353 million tons. The overproduction was driven mainly by soybeans, which reached a historic record of 174.9 million tons due to the expansion of cultivated areas. Corn also registered a slight but steady increase, reaching 141.8 million tons.
