The Rally del Paraguay, scheduled to take place from August 27 to 30 in the department of Itapúa, is expected to generate a record economic impact for the country, with an estimated financial turnover of more than 200 million dollars, according to the organizing committee. This figure will stem from the presence of thousands of domestic and international visitors, investments tied to the event's organization, and the boost to sectors such as hospitality, dining, transportation, retail, and services.
The competition is expected to draw more than 400,000 spectators across the various stages and scheduled activities, consolidating the event as one of the most attended in Paraguay. In recent years, Itapúa has established itself as the epicenter of the national rally and as a leading sports hub in the region, thanks to its infrastructure, road quality, organizational capacity, and the involvement of local communities.
On the sporting front, the 2026 edition is set to feature the participation of 60 crews, made up of drivers and co-drivers from different countries, who will compete in a demanding race on the department's roads. Media coverage will have a global reach, with broadcasting and distribution in more than 100 countries, allowing millions of people to follow the competition and experience Paraguay's landscapes, culture, and hospitality.
