A 16-year-old teenager died on Sunday after falling from his motorcycle on Route PY02 in Dr. Juan Eulogio Estigarribia (formerly Campo 9). Police are investigating whether he was participating in an illegal race at the time of the accident.
Vehicle movement increased significantly this Sunday on Route PY02, especially at the Ypacaraí toll booth, with a large flow of travelers returning to Asunción and cities in the Central Department. The Highway Patrol reports that, despite queues, traffic is steady and there are no major blockages.
