A traffic accident on the morning of this Monday (18) left a 22-year-old young man injured on Avenida Médicos del Chaco in Asunción. The driver lost control of the vehicle after a tire blowout and collided with a tree on the median strip, being rescued and taken to the Trauma Hospital.
On Saturday, May 17, two homicides were recorded in Cambyretá, Itapúa. A 28-year-old man was found dead with a gunshot wound to the head on a rural road, and another charred body was discovered inside a burned vehicle. Investigations are ongoing.
A 42-year-old woman was detained in Ypané after allegedly assaulting her husband and two young daughters, spreading gasoline inside the house, and threatening to set it on fire. Police intervened after neighbors called 911.
Police and the Public Prosecutor's Office are investigating the appearance of a corpse on a dirt road in Colônia Paraná, district of Cambyretá, Itapúa. The victim, still unidentified, was wearing a Club Olimpia t-shirt and had an injury to the orbital region.
