Paraguay’s Senate officially presented the “Mi Senado” app on September 21, 2026. Contrary to the uncertainty in the initial report, it is now clear that the application has been released. The Senate explicitly states that it is available for devices running iOS and Android.
For iPhone and iPad, the official application can be opened directly in Apple’s App Store. The listed developer is the Honorable Cámara de Senadores, Paraguay’s Senate:

The Senate also states that the app is available for Android. As of September 22, however, Pytagua could not independently verify a definitive Google Play listing for the Paraguayan application. This matters because Colombia’s Senate has used the same or a very similar “Mi Senado” name. Android users should therefore check that any app they find is explicitly associated with Paraguay’s Senate.
Mi Senado brings together information that was previously distributed across different parts of the Senate’s online services. Users can follow sessions and institutional activities, watch live broadcasts, view senators’ profiles and consult information on bills and their progress through the legislative process.
The application is connected to the Sistema de Información Legislativa (SILpy), the Paraguayan Congress’s Legislative Information System. This allows users to see the stage a bill has reached in the legislative process.
The platform is also intended to provide information on senators’ attendance at sessions and committee meetings. Users who create a profile with an email address can receive notifications about parliamentary activities and newly published information.
Some of the announced participation features, however, are still being introduced. The Senate says citizen-consultation tools will be added progressively. The planned functions include allowing citizens to express views on bills being considered in committees or in plenary sessions. Such participation would be consultative and non-binding: it would not replace parliamentary voting or the decisions taken by senators.
Mi Senado can therefore already be used as an information platform, while further digital-participation functions are expected to be added progressively.
