The Investment and Export Network (Rediex), linked to Paraguay's Ministry of Industry and Commerce, has launched the "Paraguay Exporta +" program, a free training and technical advisory initiative designed to strengthen the export capacity of Paraguayan companies. The launch took place during the Paraguay Business Fair (FEPY 2026).
Rediex Vice Minister Eduardo Gustale highlighted that the program aims to support companies with the potential to expand their businesses internationally, prioritizing the food and beverage, apparel, forestry, and metalworking sectors, although it is open to other areas. He noted that Paraguayan exports in 2025 reached approximately $16 billion, with significant growth in manufactured goods, which nearly matched the volume of agricultural products, reflecting an important advance in the diversification of the country's export supply.
The "Paraguay Exporta +" program offers training in five modules: the Exporter's ABC, intelligence for exporting, quality and international standards, international logistics, and export taxation. This structure aims to provide companies with practical tools to identify opportunities, improve competitiveness, and increase their chances of success in international markets.
Eduardo Gustale explained that the internationalization process requires information and detailed analysis, which is why the program includes personalized technical assistance and strategic guidance for the development of export plans. He mentioned that logistics, including costs and transit times, is one of the main challenges for companies seeking to access new markets, citing as an example a company that exported to Taiwan.
Furthermore, Gustale highlighted recent success stories in the diversification of Paraguayan markets, such as the export of offal to Uzbekistan, organic rum to Russia, and laminated and plywood to Latvia. He emphasized that the program aims to replicate these experiences so that more national products can reach new destinations.
The vice minister stressed that the world is seeking new suppliers and that Paraguay has the necessary conditions to integrate more strongly into international trade, offering differentiated and high-quality products. The "Paraguay Exporta +" program is a response to this demand, promoting the professionalization and growth of Paraguayan companies in the global market.
