A 23-year-old man has been missing since Monday night in Santa Rita, Alto Paraná, after being the victim of a violent assault. Alan Cristian Moreira da Silva was attacked by two men identified as Willian Coronel and David Coronel, according to a complaint filed by his mother, Eliane Moreira da Silva, 45, at the 18th Police Station in the region.
According to the complainant's account, the suspects arrived in a silver Chevrolet S10 pickup truck at the victim's workplace in the Sinuelo neighborhood on Monday afternoon. Alan's sister, Angélica, told their mother that the young man was forced into the vehicle and then struck with a blunt object, possibly a baseball bat. Images of the attack circulated on a local news page and went viral on social media.
Around 10 p.m. that same day, Alan briefly returned to his home in a pickup truck similar to the one used in the assault. Shortly afterward, David Coronel allegedly called the mother offering financial help if needed. Then the young man told his mother that “everything was already resolved” and asked her not to take any action. He left again, and the family has had no further contact since.
Alan's partner confirmed that he also did not return to their residence, but noted that he often disappears for short periods, as they are practically separated. The case was reported to the shift supervisor, Edgar Benítez, and investigations continue to clarify the facts and locate the young man.
